Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona George Alonso (October 28, 1973 - February 2, 2015) George Alonso, 41, of Flagstaff, passed away February 2, 2015. He was born October 28, 1973 in Flagstaff to Eugenio and Olivia Alonso. George was a loving father, brother and son. He was a graduate of Flagstaff High School. He was an avid bowler and won many tournaments. He loved to fish and go camping, and would find peace by taking his dog, Brownie, fishing. He loved his job at Fairfield Golf Course and was the Steelers biggest Fan. George was preceded in death by his father Eugenio Alonso. He is survived by his daughter Alicia Alonso, his mother, Olivia Alonso, his sisters Sandra Perez and Mona Sandoval, his brother Leonard Montoya, and his many nieces and nephews, with whom he was very close. Above all else, he had a heart of Gold. Holy Rosary will take place Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 12:00 noon, followed by Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm, both at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona.
