Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Lydia Sandoval (August 24, 1942 - February 5, 2015) Lydia H Sandoval, 72, of Flagstaff passed away February 5, 2015. She was born August 24 1942 to Emeterio Hernandez and Nellie Magaña-Hernandez in Flagstaff, where she lived her whole life. On June 4, 1959 she married her high school sweet heart, Louis T Sandoval. Family was the most important part of her life and she devoted the first years of her married life to raising their kids. Once her children were in school, she started working as a seasonal forest service employee, she then worked at NAU where she worked until retirement. Never one to stay in one place, she worked part time at the City of Flagstaff Recreation and adult center. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Louis Sandoval and her grandson RJ Baca. She is survived by her brother, Miguel Hernandez, sister Mary Godinez (Andres Sr.), children Louie Sandoval Jr. (Mona), Barbara Macias (Kenneth), Patty Baca (Rudy), Cathy Lobstein (Eric), Theresa Sandoval, and Jimmy Sandoval (Lauren) 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Holy rosary will be recited at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church on Wednesday February 11 at 9:30am, funeral Mass at 10:30am with reception to follow.
