Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Howard J. Velasquez (April 29, 1969 - February 8, 2015) Howard J. Velasquez entered eternal rest February 8th, 2015 surrounded by loved ones at Banner Del. E. Webb Medical Center. Born April 29th, 1969 to Vern Velasquez and Genevieve Johnson Seymour; Howard grew up in Canyon Day, Arizona. He attended 7 mile Elementary, Whiteriver Jr. High and graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. He loved to fish, hunt and drive out in the mountains. He read the bible daily and liked to spend time with his godchildren though church. Howard is Survived by his Sister: Verlyn Janice (Frite Jr.) Tenijieth; Nephews: Leon S. Tommie and Chuck Hastings; Nieces: Noel G. Altaha, CC Quintero, Jalen Quintero, Keyana Ayers and Araya Velasquez; Grandchildren: Shaun, Uriah and Levi Tommie, D’Anton Mull, Ilario and Sutton Brown, Feather and Liam Halsy; Godchildren: Chris Danford, Marion Kasey and Revanaria Peaches. Howard is Preceded in Death by his parents: Vern Velasquez and Genevieve (Johnson) Seymour and sister: Jade Lee Velasquez. A one day wake will be held Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at 10:00am at 213 Bear Grass Drive Canyon Day, Az. The funeral service for Howard will be held Monday, February 16th, 2015 at 1:00pm at Canyon Day Miracle Church followed by Interment at Canyon Day Cemetery.
