The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, February 08, 2015 Sandra Kay Meyers, 72, passed on Wednesday Feb. 4, 2015, in Prescott, Arizona. Sandra was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, to Willard and Alice (Stevenson) Meyers. Sandra was a schoolteacher at Wayne Trail in Maumee, Ohio, early in her career. For a period of time she worked for the Red Cross before returning to the classroom at Holy Rosary and St. Clemens. Sandra moved to Florida and taught there for many years before moving to California to be closer to her family. She taught there until 2010 when she retired. She moved to Arizona in 2013. Sandra is survived by her brother Gregory (Kathleen) Meyers; nephews Brian (Josephine) Meyers, Grant (Elizabeth) Meyers; great-niece Grace; and great-nephew Jacob. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott. Interment will be held at Toledo Memorial Cemetery, Sylvania, Ohio. The family is requesting memorials to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's disease or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
