The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/13/2015 Gene Beck, 54, died Jan. 31, 2015, at his residence in Concho. He was born June 24, 1960, in Mesa, the son of Catherine Sumrall and Joe Nyikes. Gene served his country in the U.S. Navy; he owned and operated his own company, Moon Shadow in Mesa. He was currently attending Northland Pioneer College. He participated with NAZCARE’S Discovery Wellness Center in Show Low. Gene lived by the quote: “Without faith, nothing is possible; with it, nothing is impossible.” Gene attended the White Mountain Church. He left behind his children, Ben Beck and Sarah Beck of Mesa and Angelia Ruger of Tucson; four grandchildren, Chase Mills, Anastasia, Michael and Natalee Wells: and two brothers.
