WHITE, Walter Jackson

The AZ Republic Dec. 10, 1964 Safford -- Services for Walter Jackson White, 78, were held in the Church of Christ. Mr. White died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1964, at Safford Inn Hospital. W. B. Johnston officiated at burial in Resthaven Cemetery. A native of Tennessee, Mr. White had lived in Arizona 24 years and 12 years in Safford. He was a retired farmer. Survived by his wife, Jessie Elizabeth; four sons, Carl of Langley, Washington, Walter V. of Safford, Billy R. of San Manuel, and Francis George of Maryneal, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jewel Walden of Morenci, Mrs. Virginia Whitecotton of Phoenix, and Mrs. Lorena Bryce of Thatcher; two brothers, Bob and Eddie, both out of state; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
