Funeral services for Philip E. Fried, 76, a retired barber shop owner, were conducted in Grimshaw Mortuary, 334 W. Monroe, by Rabbi Albert Plotkin and Cantor Maurice Chesler.  Burial in Beth Israel Cemetery.  

Mr. Fried, 2242 E. Devonshire, died Tuesday, December 8, 1964, in St. Joseph's Hospital.  He was born in Russia and moved here in 1942 from Chicago.  

Surviving are his wife, Fannie; two sons, Jerry of Phoenix and Norman of Denver; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Baer of Phoenix; eight sisters and a brother, all out of state; and five grandchildren.
