Melba Verlynn Millett Hale, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Hinkson Assisted Living in St. Johns. She was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Mesa, the daughter of George William and Minnie Taylor Millett.
Melba was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and serving others. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Melba is survived by her sons, Gary (Christine) Hale of Eagar; Mel Hale of Smithfield, Utah; Eric (Tracy) Hale of Corvallis, Ore.; brother Eldon Millett; sister Mary Jolean Wilson; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Melba married her husband, Gerald Kay Hale, Oct. 9, 1955. They were married for 42 years before his passing.
Funeral services were held Feb. 16, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Chapel, in Eagar. Interment followed services at the Eagar Cemetery.
