Charles (Chuck) Joseph Garcia passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. He was born March 19, 1943, and raised in Prescott, Arizona, and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
Chuck graduated from Prescott High School in 1961. He served for several years as the Maricopa County Housing Director, and during this time he became a real estate agent and later a broker.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Vera Garcia of Prescott.
He is survived by three sons, David Peterson, Charles Joseph Garcia Jr. (Cindy), Anthony Carl Garcia (Monica); his daughter Toni Zuidema (Marcus); and his sisters, Yoli Bounds (Leo), Valerie Stringer (Roy-deceased); and his
grandchildren, Rebekah and Gabriel Garcia, and Rebekah, Mathew and Nicholas Zuidema. Chuck is also survived by his dear Aunt, Ruby Perez; nephew Royce Stringer (Holly); and his niece, Raquel Stringer Parker (Chris). Chuck will be greatly missed by his longtime partner, Patricia Segovia and her family.
It is impossible to list all of the people that loved Chuck. He has informally "adopted" countless sons and daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends whom he supported with his love and devotion.
Chuck was the ultimate example of a giving person. His generosity was his greatest gift.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted under The Stringer Charitable Trust Agreement for Chuck's nephew Brennan Stringer for the treatment and research of Tays-Sachs disease, Arizona State Credit Union. All donations are tax deductible.
