Penny Lynn Hawkes
(March 25, 1948 - February 15, 2015)
On Sunday Feb 15th, 2015 the world lost one it's finest examples of humanity. Penny Lynn Hawkes left this earth, peacefully surrounded by her family and friends in the comfort of her home.
She was born in California on March 28th, 1948 and was predeceased by her parents Mathew and Vera Meier and sister Donna DeRock.
She was promoted to paradise after successfully beating cancer four times. Her uninhibited laughter and disarmingly genuine sense of humor will leave a hole in the lives of all who knew her. Everyone who was graced by her presence was keenly aware of the love which she gave freely in the place of judgment and the light she carried that filled every space she visited.
Every challenge Penny faced in life was met with a positive attitude, a strong profession of Jesus Christ's healing power, and an uncommon strength of spirit.
She is survived and always adored and never forgotten by her husband Bill Hawkes, Daughters Jaime Page and Amber Hawkes; Son in Law Erin Page and grandchildren Brad, Makena, Noah and Ezra. Penny, we love you more than tongue can tell - we will meet you on the peaceful golden shores of heaven.
A celebration of her life will be 11am, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Flagstaff Tabernacle, 1201 W. Kaibab Ln. All are welcome.
