Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg AZ) Wednesday, February 4, 2015, p A-8 Donald Rix passed away Jan 18 while in the care of Rock Creek and Serenity Hospice in Surprise. Don was born in Groton, SD, on Dec 16, 1929, and moved to Chino, Calif., with his parents when he was 4. He served in the U.S. Army and the Korean War. He worked for a number of years for Sunkist Growers in California and later moved to Mesa and worked as an assistant manager of a Sunkist packing house. He lived in Wickenburg for about 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Rose M Rix; daughters Debbie SoRelle and Delynn Tomato of California; step-children Greg Trelstad and Denise Berryhill of Arizona; granddaughters Kimberly and Lisa Conley and grandson Nicholas Blackshire, all of California. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr and Mrs John Rix and sisters Florence Esso and July Wing of California. Arrangements will be made at a later date.
