Floyd Leon Kartchner, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2004 after suffering many years with Emphysema.
He was born on October 18, 1933 to Nowlin and Leora Kartchner in Linden, AZ.
He is survived by his children: Jeff (Vicki) Kartchner, Debbie (Bill) Tindall, Randy (Evette) Kartchner, Cyndi (Randy) Porter, Tammi Veater, Scott (Sherri) Kartchner, and Kelly (Lori) Kartchner all of Mesa and surrounding areas. Also, children in Utah: Kathy (Richard) Turnbow, Polly (Bruce) Holyoak, John Clark and wife, and Bill Clark and wife. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren that will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen McCullouch and daughter Crystal Dey. Leon is a native of Arizona, born of pioneer heritage. He spent 2 years in Germany serving in the Army.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday April 7, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mesa 20th Ward Building, 848 N. Westwood in Mesa. Graveside services at the Woodruff Cemetery. Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements.
