Holy Rosary and Vigil will be today at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 202 S. Kendrick. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m., also at Our Lady of Guadalupe, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Norvel Owens Mortuary, www.norvelowensmortaury.com. ~~~~~~~~ Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Friday, February 27, 2015 Maria Nunez, 83, longtime resident of Flagstaff, passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 19, 2015, after 6 days at FMC. Maria was born August 12, 1931, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, yet became a US citizen. Maria is survived by her children: Carmen (Rick) Morris, Sofia Nunez, Jose (Carmen) Nunez, Mary (Steve) Hernandez, Clara (Royce) Kelly, Rose (Robert) Bryan, and Paula (Tony) Jaramillo; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, family and friends. Maria is preceded in death by her beloved husband Benito and son, Benito Nunez, Jr. "The world lost a beautiful and loving Angel that blessed our family with her nurturing and warm presence for so many wonderful years. She blessed anyone she met, softened the hardest of hearts and was a true servant of God that was a shinning example of the person you want to be. Her radiant love was felt by so many people and will never be forgotten by the fortunate souls that met her. She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
