Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Benito Nunez (May 15, 1928 - August 31, 2006) Benito O. Nuñez, 78, of Flagstaff died Thursday, August 31, 2006. Mr. Nuñez came to Arizona in 1955 from Mexico and worked as a Timber Faller with several contractors for 30 years. He enjoyed his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching boxing and baseball. He was a musician in his earlier years. Mr. Nuñez is survived by his beloved wife, Maria, of 58 years; children, Carmen (Rick) Morris, Sofia Nuñez, Jose (Carmen) Nuñez, Mary (Steve) Hernandez, Clara Nuñez, Rose (Robert) Bryan, Paula (Anthony) Jaramillo, Benito (Joella) Nuñez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Holy Rosary and Vigil Service will be held 7:00 Tuesday evening, September 5th Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00, Wednesday morning, September 6th also at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
