Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Preston K. Gnagey January 3, 1935 - January 12, 2015 Preston K. Gnagey Was born in Boynton, PA, January 3rd, 1935 to Homer and Tolva Gnagey (deceased). He passed away on January 12Th, 2015 at Oro Valley Hospital in Tucson, Arizona after a long battle with kidney and congestive heart failure. Preston was a loving husband of 58 years to Fay (Rhodes) Gnagey and loving father to daughters, Gretchen (Gnagey) Fitzpatrick, (Dan) of N Potomac, Maryland and Erin (Gnagey) Lim of Leesburg, MD. He was a proud papa to grandchildren: Liam Preston Fitzpatrick, Hannah Olivia Fitzpatrick, Charles Preston Haegele, and Carter Graham Haegele. He is survived by sisters Margie (Gnagey) Goetz and Elizabeth (Gnagey) Cook of Salisbury, Pennsylvania and Glenda (Gnagey) Westcoat of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Preston was a graduate of University of Maryland and spent many years in the accounting field in the DC area, Maryland, Virginia and Ohio. He retired in 1996 and he and Fay settled into a busy life in a Saddlebrooke Retirement Community in Tucson, Arizona. During his retirement he traveled the US extensively, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He was an avid golfer, playing several times a week. He kept busy participating in Saddlebrooke events and activities, several wine clubs, wine trips, reading and following all sports. He became an excellent chef and connoisseur of wines. He enjoyed his years with Saddlebrooke friends and sharing the great sites of Arizona with visitors. He and Fay visited their family back East every summer and Christmas. Preston was a friendly man with a positive spirit. He will be missed by all.
