Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona William Donald Newland August 24, 1927 - February 7, 2015 William “Don” Newland SMSgt (Ret) 87, died February 7, 2015. Survived by his wife of 63yrs Jo Ann, his daughters, Pat Faccio, Terry Duff and Myla (Jim) McGuire; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Don is predeceased by 1 brother. He was a fun-loving Papa to 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Born in Louisville, KY; he spent 22 years in the Air Force. Don and Jo Ann retired to Sierra Vista in 1970 and moved to Oro Valley in 1995. He enjoyed biking, golfing, traveling, and family reunions. A Celebration of Life well be held, Saturday February 28, at the Desert Oasis Rec. Center in Sun City, Oro Valley from 2-5pm. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. He will be remembered for his wit and Papa-isms.
