Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, March 04, 2015 James Shelton Evans, 44, of Globe, Ariz. passed away in his sleep in Apache Junction on Feb. 17, 2015. By his side was his girlfriend Lena Guerrero, mother Mattie Louise Dufriend, brother Don Ray Evans, his good friend Dee Sanson, as well as Tony, Terry and Shawn Little, and Ginny Gerardo. James was born July 7, 1970 in San Manuel, Ariz. He and his brother Don Ray were inseparable, always together as they grew up and became men. James’s passion was working on and rebuilding old cars and trucks, spending many hours with his head stuck under the hood of a vehicle. James would help anyone who asked him and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved Spiderman and collected everything he could that pertained to his favorite superhero. James was preceded in death by his son Zachery Taylor Evans and his grandfather Shelton Holley. James leaves behind his son James Shelton Holley II; mother Mattie Louise Dufriend; half-brother Don Ray (Debbie) Evans; half-sister Crystal Dufriend; half-brother Jeff Dufriend; uncles Dave (Margee) Holley, Tom Hooley, Brett (Alice) Holley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Many thanks go out to Amber and Holli Henderson and all the kind people at Hospice. Legacy Funeral Home handled the arrangements and no services are being held. James will be missed by many who loved him. His ashes will be interred in the Globe Cemetery next to his grandfather and small son.
