PADILLA, Lucas Ray


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/13/2015 Lucas Ray Padilla, 17, died Friday, March 6, 2015, in Eagar. He was born March 24, 1997, in Chandler, the son of Francisco Guillermo Padilla and Misty Michelle Jones. He was a senior at Round Valley High School. Lucas loved life. He was the smile on everyone’s face. He loved to hunt and fish, spend time with his friends, play his music and play football. He absolutely loved riding his longboard. He said it made him feel free. Lucas brought so much joy to everyone he knew. He was such a beautiful gift and will be dearly missed. “Lucas was one of the good guys.” He is survived by his parents, Francisco (Tina) Padilla and Misty (Marty) Gurnee; brothers Christopher Padilla, Marty Gurnee Jr. and Colter Muldoon; sisters Susan Padilla, Madison Padilla, Taylor Muldoon, and Emma Muldoon; grandparents Guillermo and Sadie Padilla, Ed Jones and Mickey Gaines; and great-grandmother Doreen McCoy. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Springerville with a funeral Mass following at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Concho Catholic Cemetery.
