Phyllis Arlene Koester 10/21/1925 - 3/19/2009 Phyllis Arlene Koester, 83, died on March 19, 2009 at YRMC in Prescott, Arizona, She was born October 21, 1925 in Ridgeland, Illinois to George and Leola (Norvell) Althaus. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Mesa and Shepherd of the Hills in Prescott. Her hobbies included watching baseball, camping and reading. Phyllis was most proud of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Koester, daughter and son-in-law, Constance & Thomas Hughes, brother-in-law, Herman Harper and grandson, Scott. She is survived by her son, Mark (Carma) Koester of Prescott; sisters, Geneva Harper of Peoria, Illinois and Pat (Dean) Mandler of Roseville, California; granchildren, David, Michael and Glen and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, Thomas, Amanda and Houston.
