Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 Therlene Astor Ramos, age 87, of San Carlos, Ariz. passed away on Thurs. March 5, 2015 at Haven of Globe Nursing Home in Globe, Ariz. She was born in San Carlos, Ariz. on July 2, 1927, the daughter of William and Mable (Capuh) Astor. She attended Rice Elementary Schools. She went to work at an early age. She worked at the Asbestos Mine in Seneca as a Grade Inspector. She was a godmother to four women at the Sunrise dances. She enjoyed cooking for her family, picking acorns, sewing and spending time at the casino with friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Therlene is preceded in death by her children Samuel Ybarra and Dominic Ramos, Sr. Therlene is survived by her children Judith Ybarra, Lambert Francis, Corina Cutter, (James), Barbara May (Tony, Sr.), Robert Ramos, Sr. and Carol King; her sister Lena Nelson; 33 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. A wake was held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Barbara May’s residence/Aravaipa Rd. in San Carlos, Ariz. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Burdette Hall in San Carlos, Ariz. Interment to be at San Carlos Cemetery. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
