Irvin Hamilton, a miner at work on the Moore & Daggett mine in Walker District, Yavapai county, fell down a 160 - foot shaft in which there was 40 or 50 feet of water, and was drowned before assistance could reach him.

Deceased was 28 years old and a native of Broad Top, Pennsylvania.

Transcriber's note: Mr. Hamilton at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.  His headstone spells his first name as Erwin and his obituary spells it Irvin.
