The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, March 18, 2015 Steve Shiflett, 63, passed away in his home and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2015. He was surrounded by the love of his life and soul mate as well as close family, after a battle with cancer. He was born May 18, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised in Riverside, Calif. He moved to Payson in 1988 and chose to retire in Wickenburg in 2012. He worked in the fast food industry for 30 years as a general manager. His love of people and heart and customer service skills kept him going. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard L. and Doris L. Shiflett. Steve is survived by his soul mate Denise Lacey; his children Nicole Marie, Adrena Rose, Jennifer Lynn (Mike), Jonathan Anthony and Jeff Scott. He was brother to Lori Calsing (Robert), Sherry Kearby (Kevin) and Craig (Carlene); grandfather to Devon James, Andrew David, Bradley Jacob, Xander Charles and Konner Bennett, whom he loved very much; uncle and great-uncle to Jason Calsing, Matt Cortez, Kevin Wilson, Urijaha Cortez, Koby Cortez; cousin to David Shiflett and children, Chris and others. He had three uncles and three aunts.
