The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, March 18, 2015 Joani C. Ritchie, 72, of Deer River, Minn., died Feb. 18, 2015, in Deer River. She was born July 17, 1942, in Rockford, Minn. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy (John) Grife, Sandi (Dick) Mayo and Mari (Jim) Strangler; brothers John (Jackie) Payne and Mark (Pam) Payne; many nieces and nephews and her many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and stepfather – Donald and Esther Payne, Cliff Haubrich, Pat Becker and Gloria Pearson. Joani arrived in Wickenburg in 1968 and felt right at home. She had a great love for the desert and enjoyed many trips with her dear friends. She worked on the greens at Los Caballeros Golf Club for 29 years. She always had a pocket of dog treats for the dogs. She will be greatly missed. Burial will be at a later date.
