Phyllis Johnson, 80, died March 15, 2015, after fighting cancer for the past year. She was living at the home of daughter Marnie and husband Duane Lappe in Belgrade, Mont.
Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 2, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Vern and Clara Miille. She married Donald Johnson of Sioux City Aug. 9, 1953, and was a homemaker all of her life. After retiring and leaving Chisago City, Minn., she and Donald became full-time RVers for about eight years. During that time, they always spent winters in Casa Grande. They then purchased park models in Sundance 1 RV Resort in Casa Grande and Venture In RV Resort in Show Low and spent most of the year at those places. They did extensive world traveling.
They had a son and daughter, Donald and Marnie. Other survivors include her husband, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Darrell, Kenneth and Dwayne Miille, and sister Lorraine Martin.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel in Bozeman.
