CARNIE, Helen J. (Pete)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, March 25, 2015 Helen J. ‘Pete’ Carnie Helen J. Carnie, 90, of Congress went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015. She was preceded in death by her siblings June, Ralph and Samuel; eldest son Philip Carnie; and granddaughter Kara Duke. Helen was born July 29, 1924, to William H. and Mary E. Johnson in Long Branch, NJ. In 1962 she moved with her children to Wickenburg, where many will remember Helen or “Pete” as the friendly and helpful clerk at the local pharmacy for more than 20 years. After retirement, she loved gardening and taking care of her many animals. Nana, as her family knew her, was also an avid reader and shared her love of books with her family. She is survived by her children Linda Duke (Harry) and Peter Carnie; grandchildren Kristina, Leslie, Jamie and five great-grandchildren.
