Thompsons Valley West Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona Hiram S. Johnson, 86 of Phoenix AZ passed away peacefully at his home on March 17, 2015. Born in Tyler TX to Callaway Johnson & Louise Hitt. He served proudly in the U.S Marines and received WWII victory medal, Korea & Vietnam service medals with 1 star, national defense service medal & UN service medal too many other commendations / awards to list. He proudly retired after 20 years of service. Dad enjoyed working on cars, watching football & baseball (every game) his true passion was singing and playing the guitar. He is survived by his best friend & wife Noriko Johnson – two sons, one daughter, & two daughter in-laws Steven M. & Dana Johnson of Goodyear AZ , Faron & Christy Johnson of Tyler TX, Tina Orozco of Dallas TX. Brother & Sister in-law Rex & Patrice Coulter. 8 grandkids, Michael & Victoria Johnson of Scottsdale AZ, Gennifer & Nickolas Johnson of Tyler TX, Justin Scott, Shawn Scott, Amy Rule, Lisa Santoro. 8 great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Greenhaw & granddaughter Sissy. Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Friday, March 20th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ with a viewing to be held ½ hour prior.
