Interment will follow in Dilkon Community Cemetery. Dale Begay passed away on March 19, 2015 in Lakeside, AZ. He was born on January 4, 1943 in Teesto, AZ to Paul Begay I and Mary Begay. He was of Kinyaa á anii (Towering House) born for Tachii 'nil (Red Running into the Water People) Clan. Nali is Totso hnii (Big Water), Chei is Tabaaha ( Edge Water). He is survived by his wife, Rena Y. Begay; sons, Dalbert K. Begay, Daryl K. Begay and Leslie Boone; daughters, Dorena Begay, Darrellene Begay, Dalphina Begay, Esther Kirk and Clara Tsosie; sisters, Etta Attakai, Helen Lininger and Kathy Begay; brothers, Sam Begay and Phillip Attakai; 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul Begay I and Mary Begay; brothers, Billy and Dan Attakai.
