Nora Fern (Baldwin) Gardner

Nora Fern Baldwin Gardner, 61, of Aztec, died on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, after a lengthy illness. She was lovingly cared for by her husband, Marvin Gardner. She was born June 6, 1949, in McNary, Ariz. to Sidney and Fern Baldwin.
She grew up in Bakersfield, Calif. She met her eternal companion in Woodruff, Ariz., and they were married April 12, 1969, in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Nora and Marvin lived in Woodruff for several years, They owned the A & W Root Beer Stand in Holbrook, Ariz.
After several years, they bought an ice plant in St. George, Utah, and then they got the opportunity to open a laundromat in Gallup. While living in St. George, they found the home of their dreams in Aztec, and purchased an additional laundromat in Farmington.
Nora was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working with the children in Primary, and her children and grandchildren brought her much joy, love and happiness.
Nora is survived by and lovingly remembered by her husband, Marvin Gardner; children, Marlin (Jennifer) Gardner, Jesse (Sherri) Gardner and Lisa (Scott) Bracken; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation for Nora will be at 10 a.m. at the LDS Chapel in Woodruff, Ariz. followed at 11 a.m. by the funeral service.
