Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Johnnie Cooley (July 10, 1957 - March 30, 2015) Johnnie Cooley, age 57, of Canyon Day, AZ was surrounded by loved ones as he went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2015 in Mesa, AZ . Johnnie was born July 10, 1957 to Levi Dehose and Veronica Cooley Reed. Johnnie graduated school from Santa Fe, New Mexico, he also attended Northern Arizona University. He enjoyed the hobbies of fishing, drawing, art work and spending time with his grandkids. He married Vanta Q. Cooley on September 1, 1994 at the Fort Apache Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Johnnie served our country during Desert Storm from Feb. 20, 1990 to Feb. 8, 1996 as a Private in the U.S. Army. Johnnie is survived by his spouse Vanta Cooley; by children Melissa (Jowan) Apsey, Jessica (Jason) Paredo, Shea Hinton, Carmen (Oscar) Hosteen and Ericka (Butch) Gregg. A wake will be held in his honor on Friday, April 3rd at 10:00 AM at 505 Tumbleweed Ln. in Canyon Day, AZ. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 4th at 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fort Apache Branch. Interment will follow at the Canyon Day Cemetery, Canyon Day, AZ.
