The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, April 01, 2015 George L. Williams, born Aug. 25, 1925 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to Robert and LaDonia Williams, passed away March 25, 2015. George was a Navy radar man in World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific, American area, from Feb. 18, 1943 to Dec. 1, 1945. He received the Victory Medal. He married Joyce D. Homstad on June 16, 1945. She passed away on March 3, 1991. On May 8, 1992, he married Verna Hoogerweerf, who passed away April 2, 2012. George is survived by his daughters, Karen (Robert) Freiwald, Karolynn Johnson; stepson Jim (Jeanne) Antonius; grandchildren, John Prosenko, Kymberly Cunha (Robert), Tobi Ann Ewalt (Mike); great grandchildren, Aaron Prosenko, Heather Prosenko, Nichole Prosenko, Stephany Perez and Rhiannon Ewalt; great-great grandchildren, twins Jordan Prosekno and Austin Prosenko and two more twin boys arriving in April.
