ObitsArizona.com Shirley Jean Morris Friedenstab June 25, 1937 ~ March 20, 2015 Shirley Jean Morris Friedenstab 77, of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away peacefully March 20, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona. Shirley was born June 25, 1937 in Attica Township, Michigan, to Walter and Arvilla Kaake Morris. She married the love of her life, Alvin Friedenstab, on May 26, 1956 Shirley and Al moved to Arizona on July 4, 1978. They owned many businesses: Avon Glass Co, liquor store, beauty salon. Their love of racing led them to build and race open wheel modifieds for dirt track racing. She and Al loved doing this together just like they had done everything together. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Alvin Friedenstab. Her children: Kevin Friedenstab, Gordon Friedenstab, Tammie Swenson, Tracy (Tom) Passey. She was a wonderful loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Arvilla Kakke Morris; and daughter Terrie Veenstra. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Buckeye 1st Ward building, 25800 W. Southern Avenue, Buckeye, Arizona 85236.
