The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, April 05, 2015 Dean M. Bloyd Dean was born April 16, 1925 to Lawrence and Myrtle Bloyd on a farm in Lincoln, Kansas. Dean went home to his Lord and savior April 2, 2015. Dean accomplished a lot in his life time, from being a farmer to flying B-17 and flying 22 combat missions over Germany with finishing his career as a 2nd Lt. After attending college, Dean became a CPA with accomplishing working in the oil industry along with holding many positions in these departments. Dean is survived by two children, Michael Bloyd of California and Debbie Davis of Texas; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two siblings, Donna Girton of Kansas and Wanda Schnelle of Missouri. Dean was able to stay home and remain with his two loving dogs by his side along with his long time caregiver Karen and her spouse with the help of Hospice Compassus. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott, Arizona. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the church. To be followed with Entombment at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix.
