The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 08, 2015 Doris Jeanne Trotter, 85, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Dorie was born in Brainerd, Minn. on March 1, 1930. Dorie was a resident of Wickenburg, AZ. Dorie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Trotter, her sister Betty Hatch and brother Edward Egan. She is survived by her daughters Marianne Jenkins and husband Patrick, Jeannette Carey and husband Raymond, her sons Paul Trotter and wife Vickie and Mark Trotter, grandchildren Andrew Jenkins and wife Carina, Christopher Carey and Alicia Gallegos, Chris Jenkins, Steven Carey, Elise Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Robert Trotter, Patrick Trotter and wife Jessica, Bailey Trotter and Micheal Trotter, great-grandchildren Addison Jenkins, Zachary Carey and Robert Trotter. Dorie graduated from Southern California University in 1952 with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She worked in Stockton, CA as an OT. She later moved to Campbell, CA where she worked at a number of electronic firms, including Intel, as an Engineering Technician making computer chips. She retired in 1982. Dorie arrived in Wickenburg in 2004 and fell in love with the mountains and the community almost immediately. She found a wonderful church family in the congregation at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and was an active member. She enjoyed gardening and her constant companion, her dog Toi. She was a lifelong volunteer and at 80+ was tutoring at the local high school. Services will be on Saturday, April 18th at 3:30 p.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. The family requests bright colors to celebrate her life and love of nature. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of the Valley, The Salvation Army or Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
