The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 08, 2015 Gloria Joy McKeever Beloved mother, sister and friend Gloria Joy McKeever passed from this world to be with the Lord on March 30, 2105. She was born Gloria Joy Trammel in Fontana, Calif., on April 10, 1935, and was raised in the Verde Valley in Arizona with seven siblings. As a young girl, she was very athletic and enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1953. As a single mother, Gloria raised three children in the Phoenix area where she worked for the US Postal Service. She received many awards and commendations for hard work and common sense ideas that were adopted by the USPS to make mail sorting and delivery more efficient. All of her commendations are documented in the USPS archives. In 1999, Gloria retired to Wickenburg where she enjoyed painting and quilting along with many other creative hobbies. She attended Faith Baptist Church and was loved and cherished by all of its members, as she did them. As an artist her specialty was North American Southwest scenery. Her paintings are displayed in many homes all over the country. Gloria was also a cardholder and big supporter of the local public library. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wickenburg Library. Gloria is survived by a brother, Jerry Trammel of Caldwell, Idaho; sister Sue Wingfield of St. George, Utah; two children, Loren McKeever of Circle, Mont., and Brenda Havens of Fruitland, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Aaron McKeever. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10 at David’s Desert Chapel. Gloria will be greatly missed.
