Virginia Lucille Lairmore received her angel wings on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Born in Indianapolis, Ind. on September 29, 1930 to Harold and Lucille Heid, she moved Arizona in 1948 and lived in Yuma, Casa Grande, Prescott Valley and retired to Globe in the year 2000.
She is survived by her two daughters, Laura McKenzie of Prescott Valley and Karen Jones of Globe; and five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joy Nelson and Iris Taleer; and her grandson, Brian Villareal.
Her great passions in life were Square Dancing, Dressage riding, horse training, dog training, cake decorating, oil painting, playing the organ and being a devoted member of St John’s Episcopal Church. She loved teaching her children and grandchildren arts crafts and most always had a needle and thread pinned to her collar while listening to Nelson Eddy and Opera music.
She was a beautiful, kind spirit and a loving mom, and will be greatly missed. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on April 9, 2015 at St John‘s Episcopal Church in Globe, Ariz. with a reception immediately following.
