Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Dennes Jensen (September 17, 1935 - April 7, 2015) Dennes Jensen 79, husband father and all-around great guy passed April 7, 2015. Born September 17, 1935 in Frederikssund, Denmark. Son of Hans and Martha Jensen, sister Joan Jensen, brothers Hans and Carl Jensen. Dennes is survived by wife of 56 years Christy, Daughter Lauren (Edwin Babbitt) Son Eric (Kathy), grand children Kate McDonough, Cole Babbitt, Beau Jensen, and Great Granddaughter Ava. Dennes immigrated to the U.S. In 1947 after WWII to reunite with his family. Dennes went on to graduate from the University of Idaho, and then moved to California where he enlisted in the army and was stationed at the Presidio. Dennes was a civil engineer for Caltrans , a Los Angeles county lifeguard and a world-class swimmer. In 1972 Dennes moved his family to Flagstaff where he was an engineer with ADOT. Dennes enjoyed skiing, golfing, traveling and the company of his many friends and family. He will be missed. A celebration will be held at Continental Country Club Friday May 1st at 3:00 pm.
