The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, Jan. 10 to Jan. 11, 2008 Edith J. Barnes, 95, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2008 in Tolleson, AZ at the family home of her granddaughter Sheri. She was born September 23, 1912 in Covington, Kentucky. She married "the best husband in the world" William (Bill) Barnes on August 8, 1936. They were married for almost 54 years before he went to be with the Lord. They moved to Phoenix in 1954. She is survived by her son David his wife Joanna, daughter Ellen her husband Tom, 6 grandchildren: Michael David, Wendy, Barbara, Jennifer, Kathy, Sheri and 14 great-grandchildren: Tayler, Walker, Michael, Austin, Justin, Tristin, Hunter, Ashlinn, Savannah, Champayne, Jayden, Kaleea, Garrett and Abbie. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethany Bible Church 6060 N. 7th Ave, Phoenix, preceded by a family graveside service.
