The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, April 10, 2015 Warren W. Austin passed away peacefully on March 9, 2015, in Prescott. He was 76 years old. He was brother to Betty Jane Johnston (Richard) of Brunswick and Charles Austin (Darlene) of Maryland. Warren is predeceased by his son Mark J. Austin of Troy, New York. He is survived by three of his children, Ellen L. Guerin (Andrew), Scott T. Austin (Jacqueline) and Todd W. Austin (Melissa). Warren has four grandchildren including 2-year-old Abigail Grace Austin who was the light of his life. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Warren had many occupations throughout his life, but was most proud of his service in the United States Coast Guard Reserves after high school and his career as a Sheriff's Deputy. He had 30-plus years of sobriety as a member of the Alcoholics Anonymous and cherished the words of the Serenity Prayer. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the lake view Ramada on Goldwater Lake in Prescott.
