The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, April 07, 2015 Vera Klimov Butterfield 6/29/1928 - 4/2/2015 Vera Klimov Butterfield of Cottonwood, AZ was born in Kiev, Ukraine on 6/29/1928 and left this earth in Flagstaff, AZ of 4/2/2015 to be with her savior. Vera leaves behind her husband of 66 years, William "Bill,"; her daughter, Margaret "Maggie," and her niece and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her parents, Parfen and Tatiana Klimov, her brother Ivan, and her sisters Anna, Maria, and Natasha. Vera had many interests. She was a belly dancer, an artist, and a talented crafter who loved to knit, crochet and embroider. Vera lived and enjoyed her life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew her. No services are planned at this time. Donations in her memory may be made to the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Flagstaff, or to the Verde Valley Humane Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
