SEARLES, Ella (Louise)

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, April 11, 2015 Ella "Louise" Searles passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015 after a long and fruitful life. The youngest of 12 children, she was born on June 13, 1924. She was preceded in death by her son, James "Pokey" Williams. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Lightner (husband-Larry) and Calaya Williams (daughter-in-law-Rebecca Burns) and three grandsons, Duane Cox (wife-Debbie), Brian Cox (wife-Christen) and Alen Arthur Cox. Louise was proud to have three great granddaughters and one great-great granddaughter. Louise was a free spirit and an active member of AA. She blessed the many communities in which she resided with her boundless love and commitment to service. She will be sorely missed by family and friends and a long legacy of sponsorees who have grown and prospered under her guidance. A celebration of her life will be held in her memory at a date and time to be announced. Louise would be pleased to have any thoughtful contributions made to the Alano Club of Cottonwood were she presided over many celebrations of sobriety. Information provided by survivors
