Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Thelma Baker (August 30, 1929 - April 10, 2015) Thelma B. Baker “Cotton” went to be with the lord April 10th, 2015 peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones in Taylor, Arizona. Thelma was born on August 30th, 1929 to W.J. and Wanda Fullerton. She was born in Borger, Texas, lived in New Mexico, Arizona and California. Thelma is a member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Poly Technique High School in Long Beach, California where she played the saxophone and marched in the Rose Parade in 1946. Thelma enjoyed being a homemaker and an excellent cook. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all. Thelma is survived by her Sons: Mike (Barbara) Baker of Cottonwood, Arizona, Rick (Sue) Baker of Costa Mesa, California; her Daughters: Debi (Ron) Bettis of Taylor, Arizona and Mo (Paul) Strope of Hillsboro, Oregon; her Nephew: Randy Irvin whom she helped raise; her Niece: Cindy McCall of California plus numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in Death by her parents: W.J. and Wanda Fullerton and her loving Husband J.R. Baker of 54 years. A private viewing for Thelma will be held Wednesday April 15th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor, Arizona. A viewing prior to service will take place Thursday April 16th, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Centennial Chapel followed by the Funeral Service starting at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow Funeral Service Thursday April 16th, 2015 at Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery.
