MUNCH, Frederick R. (Fred)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, April 16, 2015 Frederick R. Münch, died at his home in Prescott on April 14, 2015. He was born May 8, 1947 in Los Angeles, California; the son of Henry R. and Gladys (Parker) Munch. Fred moved to Arizona from California 15 years ago, continuing to work as an administrator for IBM in Phoenix, before retiring and moving to Prescott. He and Terry together owned the Briar Wreath Inn a popular local bed and breakfast inn. Fred had a long time commitment to take an elderly friend, both in California and here in Prescott, to play bingo which they both enjoyed. Fred put his UCLA design degree to good use designing Terry's and his homes and his many crafting hobbies. He enjoyed gardening and cooking; especially the fresh produce from his garden. He was proudest of sustaining his 46 year relationship with Terry. He is survived by his spouse, Terry Fowler; sister Carolee Block of Everett, Washington; nieces, Emm'et Johnson, Patricia Cunningham and Lisa Flood; and nephews David Johnson and Steven Gowan; and many great nieces and nephews. Celebration of Fred's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S.
