FRITTS, Harvey Cloud


David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home, Wickenburg, Arizona Harvey Cloud Fritts, Born April 24, 1937 in Alhambra, California to Harvey Lynn and Stella Hewitt Fritts. He came to Wickenburg many years ago making this his home and later marrying Linda and raising their three girls here. He went to school in the little red school house on Tegner street and Graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1956. Shortly there after attended ASU for a short time, then enlisted in the Army, and upon returning home he started with the Arizona Department of Transportation working on the Highways throughout Arizona. He worked on such projects as I 10, Carefree Highway, and Yarnell Hill. He was an avid hunter from the time he was small boy. He loved to spend time alone or with friends and family hunting in the desert and high country of Arizona. He also just loved to drive his jeep out in the desert and up to box canyon splashing his passengers along the way. He loved to tell stories about his life to everyone and always waved to everyone as they drove by. Harvey was active in Saddle Club and Maricopa County Sheriffs Posse back in the day. Helping with everything from floats and riding in the parade BBQ’s and hauling kids around. Harvey served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962 as a member of the C Battery, 4th MS 1 Battalion, 44th Artillery and the Army Reserve XV US Army Corps on standby until 1965. He was stationed Korea during the conflict and returned home to finish out his term in Caribou, Maine. He was preceded in death by his Wife Linda and mother Stella and great grandson Sawyer. He is survived by his sisters Dolores Morton, Florida and Phyllis Jauch, Tuscon, Arizona; daughters Sheila Fritts , Wickenburg Arizona, Kimberly Doty-Summers (Nick), of Mayfield, Kentucky, Stacee Basham (Robert) ;Grandsons Jesse D Ordunez( Shannon), Nicholas Ordunez(Lacey) , and John Ordunez of Kentucky, Hayden and Logan Fritts of Wickenburg, Arizona; Great Grandchildren – Clayton Caraline, Kamryn, Linken; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also numerous “adopted family” Sonia Bolton Ordunez, Seargent Robert D Basham II and Spec Cody Basham and many others. Service were Held April 24, 2015 at Boetto Park.
