Marilyn Ann Bray, 71, of P.O. Box 1705, Claypool was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015. She was born to parents Robert and Eva Hogan, on Aug. 29, 1943, in Beech Creek, Kentucky.
Marilyn was an active member/president of the Miami Emblem Club, homemaker, caregiver, as well as working several local businesses throughout her lifetime. She loved her children, grandchildren, siblings, and trying her hand at the casino. If she said, “Let’s go for a ride,” that meant let’s go to the casino! She also had a great love for Coca-Cola, Elvis Presley, animals, decorating for the holidays, and crafts. There wasn’t a craft she tried that she didn’t succeed at.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hogan; mother, Eva Stapleton; brother, Ray Hogan; great-granddaughter, Kya Sanchez; and grandson, Dally Michael Bray.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Scott) Warenski, Vickie (Bobby) Pena, and Elizabeth Bray (Brian); two sons, Norman Bray and Wayne (Dawn) Bray; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Tommy Hogan; John (Sherry) Stapleton; Steve (Sharon) Stapleton; Danny (Vonnie) Stapleton; and David (Patti) Stapleton; and two sisters, Janetta Woodall (Reid) and Fran (Dave) Crossett of Arizona.
Services were held on Saturday, April 25 at Lamont Mortuary in Globe and officiated by Pastor Randy Bradford. Marilyn’s final resting place is adjacent to her grandson, Dally Michael Bray, in the Globe Cemetery.
