CORNEIL, Samuel H. (Sam)

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, April 25, 2015 Samuel H. Corneil, 86, entered into eternal rest on April, 21st 2015, at 11:29 am in Cottonwood, Az. with loved ones by his side. He passed peacefully. He is survived by his life long friend Gina Presley and her daughter Angel Presley-Rippa, sister Joyce Stevens who lives in Peoria, AZ. and his sister Patty Mc Feely who lives in South Park, PA. He joins his wife Geneva Corniel who passed in 1985. Born on December 2, 1928 in Wheatfeild, Indiana where he attended college, then joined in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War in 1950. After being honorably discharged from active duty he started a commercial construction business with his father Alex Corneil, who died on the same day, April 21st, in 1976. His life was shared by Gina and Angel who were the light of his life. He was the most kind and wonderful man, who would do anything for them and they for him. Sam lived a blessed life, and lived to see "his" Angel turn 16 years old, and receive her 1st degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do on April 11th of this year. He will be dearly missed and we loved him. He was the greatest friend anyone could have ever had. Rest in peace Sambo, you have enriched our lives in so many ways. Information provided by survivors.
