Prescott Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 23, 1913, page 8, column 2 Miner Is A Victim Of The White Plague Walter Kermont, a recent arrival fro Tonopah, Nevada, passed away at Mercy hospital yesterday morning after a long illness due to miner's consumption. During the past winter he resided at Wickenburg, and a few months ago came to this city in the hope of a change of climate proving beneficial. He was sent to this country by the Tonopah local of the Western Federation of Miners, and bore a splendid name as an industrious man. He was a native of Russia, and was naturalized in Chicago in 1898, The body is at Ruffner's awaiting advices from Nevada as to disposition. Transcriber's note: Walter is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. There are several spelling found of his surname: Kermont, Kemonk, Kemouk, Kimonk, Kunouketc. I have not been able to verify which one is correct.
