Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona William Depperschmidt November 2, 1923 - April 27, 2015 William Depperschmidt, age 91, passed away April 27, 2015 in Surprise, Arizona. He was born November 2, 1923 in Liebenthal, Kansas. He was raised and attended schools there until age 10 when the family moved to Colorado. William had worked at various jobs until he was old enough to enlist in the U.S. Navy. He served in the submarine service during his military enlistment. Following the military William married Evelyn Von Feldt in 1949 and they made their home in Brighton, Colorado and eventually they made their way to California where he worked with Pacific Gas and Electric. They went north to Alaska where they lived for 10 years. William and Evelyn moved back to Colorado for health reasons and began wintering in Wickenburg and eventually made Wickenburg their full time residence. William was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Evelyn of Wickenburg and son Bob Depperschmidt of New York and daughter Betty Arnold of Aurora, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg with a Rosary to be said on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Wickenburg Funeral Home.
