The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05./01/2015 In loving memory of Eleanora Cromwell-John, who entered rest at her home the morning of April 24, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 19, 1944. She is survived by her husband, David F. John; daughters Lorraine John, Dora Caddo, Maxine Cromwell, Elizebeth Smith and Elouise John; son Eugene John; four traditional goddaughters, Bernaline Minjarez, Carla Sanders-Colelay, Jan Johle and Dalisa Hinton; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandsons; three aunts, Mary-Jane Patterson, Betty Lee and Katherine Tessay; uncle Mr. Calvert; and Mrs. Darlene Tessay, plus many relatives and friends. She was brought back to her residence, 212 W. Saddle St., in Another World April 30, starting at 10 a.m. for a two-day wake. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Apache. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. at her home before the funeral service. She will be laid to rest at her family plot at the Standing Tree Cemetery near German Town in Cibecue. All tribal dignitaries, gospel singers and speakers are welcome. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
