The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05./01/2015 M.F. Boyd died April 13, 2015, surrounded by loved ones in Peoria. He was born May 24, 1921, to Thomas and Nora Boyd. M.F. married Vivian Ruth Boyd in 1947 in Silver City, N.M., and were together 61 years. He lived in multiple cities over the years including Phoenix, Flagstaff, Clarkdale, Show Low and Taylor. M.F. is an Army Airborne veteran who served as a T5 in World War II. He worked as a serviceman for APS for 27 years. He is survived by his son, Gerald (Rebecca) Boyd of Glendale; daughter Shelley Jean; sister Bobby June Scott; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nora Boyd; brothers Guy, Ervine and Carl; and sisters Dale, Hariell and Mona Vota. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Silver Creek Mortuary. An additional viewing prior to the funeral will start at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 2, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. at Silver Creek Mortuary. Interment will be held at Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
