MUNSON, Willis (Will)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, May 01, 2015 Willis "Will" Munson, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 27, 1925 in Warren, Pennsylvania. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II with his first combat experience being the Battle of the Bulge. He was a senior design engineer for the aerospace industry. He was quite musically inclined playing the guitar, banjo, organ and drums. Will performed both as a soloist and in several country western and bluegrass bands, and sang in barbershop quartets and chorus. He enjoyed performing in many plays in Sun City West. He was a published author "How Lucky Can You Get?" He was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Prescott's Radio Control Airplane Club. Will is survived by his wife, Lynda; and sons, Alan and Ron Munson. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott. A celebration of Will's life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Ave., Prescott with committal service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at Sunland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 16426 Del Web Blvd., Sun City, Arizona, The family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
